Size Selection Guide

When choosing a GP bucket, the tonnage of the excavator must be taken into consideration. Remember not to select a large bucket just to reduce the number of working cycles and speed up the work, as this will increase the machine's workload and thus increase fuel consumption.

On the contrary, a too-small bucket will also increase fuel consumption due to the need for more working cycles.

2

Selection Based on Material Type

The excavator GP bucket is mainly used for digging and transporting materials. According to the characteristics of the materials.

For high-density materials such as granite, an enhanced bucket is used, where the most wear-prone parts are protected by replaceable guards and other high-strength components.

For materials such as gravel, shale and basalt, a toothed bucket should be selected, as it makes it easier to penetrate the soil.

For low-density materials such as soil, sand and clay, the bucket does not require any reinforcement protection.

3

Bucket Teeth Options

The GP bucket for excavator is usually equipped with teeth. They are particularly different in terms of attachment type:

● Teeth with fixed pins

● Tubular teeth

● Welding teeth

The number of bucket teeth is also important. Your choice depends on the work to be done. When excavating hard rocks, to achieve better penetration effect, the number of teeth on the bucket must be reduced. In earthwork projects, to maintain the load, it is recommended to use buckets with more teeth and closer tooth spacing.
