Excavator Orange Peel Grapple

Our Multi-Functional Hydraulic Clamp Saw of the excavator is a heavy-duty multi-functional forestry tool that integrates grasping and cutting functions. It is driven by the hydraulic system of the excavator, enabling one-stop operations such as grasping and fixing, precise sawing, transportation, loading, and stacking. This completely replaces the inefficient process of traditional manual use of chain saws for cutting and secondary mechanical clearing.

Acquisition Stage

The hydraulic pump forces the oil into the grab cylinder, causing the steel claws to retract inward.

The pressure is automatically adjusted according to the material density (for example, the density of scrap steel pile is approximately 1.2 - 1.8 t/m³) to avoid overloading. Tests conducted by a certain manufacturer show that when picking up 8 tons of scrap steel, the system pressure remains stable at 28 MPa ± 2%.

Transportation Phase

The grab is lifted by the crane or the boom of the excavator, and the rotation is controlled by the turn motor.

Typical working radius is 6 - 15 meters, and the maximum moving speed when fully loaded is ≤ 0.5 m/s (in compliance with JB/T 12975-2016 safety standards).

Release Phase

The oil cylinder supplies oil in reverse direction, causing the steel claws to open at an angle of 120° to 150°, enabling rapid discharging.

The orange peel hydraulic grapple handles collecting, transporting and loading jobs for scrap metal, construction rubble, timber, rock, steel slag, sugarcane, sand and gravel. As an efficient standard excavator attachment, it works perfectly at waste recycling yards, demolition worksites, port terminals and renewable resource facilities.
