Mechanical Grab
The mechanical grab operates using the grab cylinder. When the cylinder is opened, the grab teeth expand. Compared to hydraulic grabs, mechanical grabs require less maintenance. Their boom is connected to a rigid arm, which can lift heavy objects, move waste materials, and is highly suitable for heavy-duty operations.
Application scenarios: Heavy lifting, waste transportation, and routine material handling that does not require frequent precise positioning.
Hydraulic Grab
The hydraulic grab is powered entirely by the excavator. The hydraulic circuit of the machine is connected to the grab jaw, driving the grab claws to move synchronously. The hydraulic grab moves more efficiently and precisely. Some models can rotate 180° or even 360°, giving you complete operational freedom at the work site.
