A DOOCANG  excavator ripper is a replaceable attachment designed for breaking up and loosening material; they are available for both excavators and bulldozers. Excavator rippers are often referred to as "bucket hooks," while bulldozer rippers are known as "rear rippers" or "tail hooks." They typically feature a single tooth-though two- or three-tooth versions also exist-and offer powerful digging and cutting capabilities. Suitable for breaking up hard soil, semi-hard rock, and weathered rock, they facilitate subsequent excavation and loading operations using a standard bucket, representing an effective and convenient non-blasting excavation solution.

The DOOCANG excavator ripper features a single-piece cast shank with mounting holes at the top for connection to the dipper arm and the bucket cylinder, respectively. The tip is fitted with a hard-alloy hard-faced cap. When the hydraulic cylinder piston rod extends, it drives the tip to forcibly penetrate and break up the soil. It is used for excavating fractured rock and breaking up frozen ground, as well as for tearing up asphalt pavement.
