Product Overview
The hydraulic breaker cylinder acts as the core drive component for hammer-type rock breaking attachments. Its assembly consists of the main control valve, reciprocating piston and matched piston rings.
High-pressure hydraulic oil flows into the breaker hydraulic cylinder to push the piston for fast back-and-forth movement, delivering striking power for rock and concrete breaking jobs.
Common Failure Triggers For Hydraulic Breaker Cylinder
● Cylinder scoring: Excess grease enters the hydraulic system, or contaminants are drawn into the cylinder along with the chisel.
● Cracking: Frequent blank firing, excessive operating pressure or material fatigue.
● Seal failure: Wear of the guide bush leads to eccentric loading of the piston, damaging the inner wall of the cylinder.
Repair & Solutions
● Minor scoring: Disassemble and clean the assembly. Remove burrs on the inner wall with oil stones and replace the complete set of sealing rings.
● Severe scoring & cracking: If deep scoring or cracks form on the cylinder inner wall, a brand-new cylinder of the same model must be installed.
Routine Maintenance & Preventive Tips
Keep grease injection quantity properly controlled. Prevent blank firing of your excavator hydraulic breaker at all times. Inspect the fit clearance between chisel and guide bushes on a regular maintenance cycle.
