Different uses of drill bits

 

Spiral drill bit: Suitable for soft ground

The spiral drill bit is one of the most commonly used drilling tools in rotary drilling machines. It is particularly suitable for soft soil layers and sandy soil layers. Its spiral blade design can effectively remove drill cuttings and improve drilling efficiency. Depending on the shape of the blades, spiral drill bits can be divided into single-spiral and double-spiral types. The single-spiral drill bit is suitable for shallow drilling holes, while the double-spiral drill bit performs better in deep-hole operations.

Tubular Drill Bit: Suitable for Complex Strata

The tubular drill bit is suitable for complex strata containing pebbles, gravel, etc. Its tubular structure can effectively collect drill cuttings and reduce repeated crushing. The tubular drill bit is divided into open-bottom type and closed-bottom type. The open-bottom type is suitable for harder strata, while the closed-bottom type is more suitable for loose strata. In addition, the tubular drill bit can be equipped with different types of cutting teeth to adapt to different hardness of rock layers.

Rock-Bearing Drill Bits: Suitable for Hard Strata

When encountering hard rock layers, rock-bearing drill bits are the best choice. These drill bits are typically made of high-strength alloy steel and are equipped with highly wear-resistant cutting teeth. Depending on the characteristics of the rock layer, different tooth shapes and arrangements can be selected for the rock-bearing drill bits. For extremely hard rock layers, impact-functioned rock-bearing drill bits can also be chosen, which enhance drilling efficiency through the combined action of impact and rotation.
